1. Who we are
We Can Clear Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, number 16207373, with its registered office in Rochdale and a contact address in Prestwich, M25, Manchester. Nathan Ince is the director and is responsible for how your information is handled. You can reach us on 0161 307 8335 or at info@wecanclear.co.uk.2. What we collect
From the quote form we collect your name, postcode, telephone number, email address where provided, details of what needs clearing, your preferred timing, anything entered in the notes field, and any photographs you send.Where you contact us by telephone, text or WhatsApp we hold the information you provide in that conversation. Our web host retains standard server logs, including IP addresses, as is normal for any website. We do not request payment details through this website. To keep automated spam out of the quote form, the website also records the time the form was opened and a short one-way record derived from your IP address. That record is held for no more than twenty-four hours, is used only to limit repeated submissions, and is never used to identify you or combined with anything else.3. Why we are allowed to hold it
We process your information to respond to a quote request and to carry out a clearance, because you have asked us to and because it is necessary to provide the service you are paying for. We retain waste transfer notes and job records because the law requires it.We process limited information to operate and protect the website, on the basis of our legitimate interest in it functioning properly. We send review invitations on the basis of our legitimate interest in being reviewed, and you may ask us not to. Anything further, such as marketing, is carried out only with your agreement.4. How we use it
We use your information to price the work, to reply to you, to attend the correct address with the appropriate vehicle, and to invoice you. Photographs are used to assess volume and access and for no other purpose. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.5. Photographs
Photographs you send are held with your enquiry so that the work can be priced and, if you proceed, so the team knows what is being collected. They are not published or used elsewhere without your permission.6. Who we share it with
Our own team, who carry out every clearance, so they know the address and what is being collected. Our website host, which stores the enquiry, and Google Workspace, which carries our email.Trustpilot, who send review invitations following a job, as set out in section 8. A licensed disposal site, where the paperwork for a load requires it. No one else, unless we are obliged by law.7. WhatsApp and text
We publish a WhatsApp number because it is the quickest way to send photographs. Where you use it, your message and number pass through WhatsApp, and their terms apply to that in addition to ours. The quote form and email provide the same service if you would prefer not to.8. Reviews
Following a job we invite you to leave a Trustpilot review. To send the invitation we provide Trustpilot with your name and the email address you gave us, and they contact you rather than us.You may decline. Tell us at the time of booking, or use the unsubscribe link on the invitation, and no further invitation will be sent. Trustpilot’s own privacy terms govern their use of your email address.9. Marketing
We do not send marketing unless you have asked us to.10. How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not proceed to a job are held for twelve months and then deleted, together with any photographs.Waste transfer notes are retained for two years, which is the statutory minimum. Invoices and job records are retained for six years, as required by HMRC. You may ask us to delete anything we are not obliged to keep.11. Where it is stored
Your enquiry is held on the website’s own server, which is located in the United Kingdom. Our email runs on Google Workspace and Trustpilot handle review invitations, both of which operate internationally, so some information may be stored outside the United Kingdom. Where that is the case it is protected by the standard contractual terms that UK data protection law requires for international transfers.12. Keeping it safe
The site runs over an encrypted connection, office accounts are password protected, and access to enquiries is limited to those who need it.Should a problem arise with your data that places you at risk, we are obliged to inform both you and the Information Commissioner’s Office.13. Cookies
Cookies are covered on our cookies page, where you can also change your preferences at any time.14. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may request a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict our use of it, or object to how it is being used. Write to us and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, and you may do so without contacting us first.15.
